PURPOSE:To increase an energy absorbing stroke at a head-on collision without enlarging an engine room as well as to improve the extent of rigidity in a front body. CONSTITUTION:Both front side frames 4a, 4b are formed into a forked structure between main frames 10a, 10b curved downward short of shroud plates 6a, 6b and bumper frames 11a, 11b being joined to the curved position and extending forward after piercing through these shroud plates 6a, 6b. Then, both sub-frames 12a, 12b are connected to each other on an extension of these main frames 10a, 10b in holding the shroud plates 6a, 6b and a front cross-member 8 in between, and these sub-frames 12a, 12b and each tip of the bumper frames 11a, 11b are solidly coupled together by two closing plates 13a, 13b. |
