PURPOSE: To produce a relief copy resistant to heat and chemicals. CONSTITUTION: This positive processing irradiation-sensitive or photosensitive mixture contains a polymer binder insoluble in water and soluble in an aq. alkaline soln. 1,2-quinonediazide and/or a combination of the compd. forming a strong acid by the exposure with the active ray irradiation and the compd. contg. at least one acid-cleavable C-O-C bond as the essential components. A polymer having 5,000-100,000mol.wt. and contg. 1-15, preferably 2-10, mmol of phenolic hydroxyl group per g of polymer and at least 0.1, preferably 0.5-2, mmol of -CH3-n Xn unit, where X is halogens and (n) is 1, 2 or 3, is contained in the mixture as the polymer binder. |
