PURPOSE: To provide an IR-sensitive silver halide photographic material with the sensitivity scarcely changed even when preserved in the environment where humidity and temp. are varied. CONSTITUTION: This silver halide photographic material has a substrate and at least one silver halide emulsion layer spectrally sensitized in the IR region of an electromagnetic wave spectrum, and the IR sensitized emulsion layer contains a 1-aryl-5-mercaptotetrazole compd. having an aryl group replaced by at least one electron attracting group.
