PURPOSE:To improve the work efficiency by discriminating whether a cursor exceeds a screen or not, and displaying it by omitting intermediate data. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a character input means, a means for editing an inputted character, and a cursor moving means, and when for instance, a ruled line exists in a fifth line, and a cursor is moved, drawing the ruled line in the lower direction, when it exceeds an eighth line, it is decided that a scroll is generated and a screen scrolled by a half screen portion in the upper direction is obtained. When the cursor is further moved in the lower direction, and the ruled line is drawn and exceeds a 12-th line, it is decided that a scroll is generated, and this time, since an initial end exists in the upper half on the screen, a screen division is executed automatically by displaying the lower half of the screen. |
