PURPOSE:To provide a zinc benzoate salt compound having good dispersibility in binder resins and useful as a charge-controlling agent of electronic photography toner capable of giving good charge characteristics to the toners. CONSTITUTION:A compound of the formula (R1 is alkyl, aralkyl; R2, R3 are alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkoxy, acyl, NH2 which may have a substituent, NO2, halogen), e.g. 5-methyl-2-ethoxybenzoic acid zinc salt. The compound is colorless and can provide electronic photography toners always stably giving high quality image figures which have high stability and good abrasion charge characteristics. |
