PURPOSE:A herbicide, capable of exhibiting the synergistic effect in weeding in mountains and forests or nonagricultural fields and effective for a long term, and containing solium 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropionate and ammonium sulfamate. CONSTITUTION:A herbicide containing sodium 2,2,3.3-tetrafluoropropionate (TFP) which has a high weeding effect on perennial plants, e.g. bamboo grass and Japanese plume grass, and ammonium sulfamate (AMS), which has a relatively rapid action on perennial plants e.g. shrubs or tall goldenrod and a transient effect in an amount of 2-30pts. based on 1pt. TFP. The herbicide can be formulated in the form of a solution, a wettable powder, granule or fine granule by the conventional method. The herbicide is uded in such an amount to give 0.1-1g/m<2> TFP and 1-30g/m<2> AMS calculated as the active constituents, and the amount varies with the types and the growing density of the plants to be treated. The herbicide is preferably applied in the reproduction period of autumn due to the larger effect than in the nutrient growing period of spring to summer. |
