A device securing a mining combine against unintended slide-downs along the conveyor, the said mining combine being used in longwall excavations, specifically those inclined from 12 degrees to 25 degrees and operated with an endless chain, comprising a frame having a chain wheel installed in it and a double chain guide, wherein the frame (8) has a retaining pawl (9) with a guiding casing (10) coupled with a grip (11) that has a washer (13) and a spring (12) installed on it, the said grip (12) getting a profiled catch (21) with a flat spring (14).<IMAGE>
