The method for producing styrene oxide through oxidising styrene with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a catalyst, distinctive in that the oxidisation reaction is conducted in the temperature of 273 K in the solution of a non-polar organic solvent containing styrene and a hydroquinone component; a 30-percent aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide with suspended disoxide bis (2,4-dinitrophenyl) is introduced into the solvent; after 30 minutes anhydrous magnesium sulphate is added and the reactive mixture is kept in the temperature of 298 K for 14-16 hours with a new batch of hydrogen peroxide added every hour.
