THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To provide the above recording material generating no contamination of an image even when laser beam is used in a condensed state by forming an intermediate layer as a layer substantially having no absorption within a visible resin. CONSTITUTION:A photothermal conversion layer coating solution is applied to a polyethylene terephthalate film to form a photothermal conversion layer and an intermediate composition consisting of a 20% aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution, glyoxal and water is applied to the photothermal conversion layer to provide an intermediate layer. A sublimation transfer layer composition is applied to the intermediate layer to provide a sublimation transfer layer.
