PURPOSE:To always obtain the stable fixed image of excellent quality by performing temporary fixing by a toner temporary fixing means, destaticizing a recording medium by a destaticizing means and performing normal fixing by a heat roller fixing means. CONSTITUTION:Toner is melted by the radiant heat of an infrared lamp which emits near infrared rays and a toner image 16 is temporarily fixed on a recording medium 17 in an infrared lamp fixing device 12. As to a destaticizing part, conductive rollers 18 and 19 made of a conductive member are paired and the rollers 18 and 19 are connected to ground, so that charge on the medium 17 is discharged to the ground through the rollers 18 and 19 while the electrostatically charged medium 17 is carried between the rollers 18 and 19, thereby destaticizing the medium 17. |
