<p>PURPOSE:To prepare an embossing pattern that always has a uniform height by correcting a cutter length when a cutter length is different from the standard length at the time of forming a prescribed embossing character by cutting the emboss part. CONSTITUTION:When selecting the origin setting mode or the like of a cutter 413 via a keyboard before cutting an embossing section peculier to a portable storage medium, the length of cutter 413 can be detected by a cutter length detector 30. When the detected length is different from the standard length, a Z-axis mechanism section 44 is controlled via a NC control section, the cutter length is corrected, and the length of cutter 413 substantially becomes the standard length. The cutter 413 is subjected to NC control, an embossing pattern specified for a portable storage medium is formed by cutting, thus an embossing pattern that always has a uniform height is obtained.</p> |
