Device facilitating the positioning of electrical meters and the cutting of the conductors to length. The invention relates to a device making it possible to position electrical meters and to cut the conductors to length without the risk of error, whilst avoiding the repetitive use of tools. It consists of a plate (1) which is placed by sliding the positioning stop (7) in the slot of the wooden panel from which the conductors emerge. Piercers (3) marking the starting hole for the fastening screws of the meter by a pressure produced on the piercer heads (4) and which temporarily fix the assembly to the wooden panel, allow the user to cut the conductors using a cable cutter by following the cutting guide (6). At the end of use, the protective casing (8) is replaced. The device is particularly intended for the fitting of electrical appliances on a wooden panel. <IMAGE>
