An industrially advantageous process for producing a thiamine of disulfide form or its derivative, which comprises mixing a compound of the general formula R<1>SSO3M (wherein R<1> represents an optionally substituted alkyl or aralkyl group, and M represents ammonium, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal) and a compound of general formula (I) (wherein R<2> represents hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl or ester residue) with an alkali in an aqueous solvent. |
