The haymaking machine for swathing has at least one driven rake wheel (1) supported on a vertical axis (2) by a hub (3), and having several time-carrying arms (5,5'...5n) running from the axis of rotation (4), located in bearings (6,6'...6n), and which can be turned about their longitudinal axis (35) by a steering device (7). The bearings of the arms are bolted from below, either directly to the rake-wheel plate (8) or to a welded-or strengthening part, with three bolts (17,17',17"), two of which (17,17') are at the inner end (14) of each bearing, and one (17") is on the outer edge (15 or 15') of the rake-wheel plate (8). The bolts are bolted with a counter plate (45) held from beneath against the bearings. USE/ADVANTAGE - The design is simple and effective.
