Colour photographic recording material has a reflective substrate with blue-, green- and red-sensitive Ag halide (AgX) binder coat(s), contg. yellow, magenta and cyan coupler respectively, and opt. other insensitive coats contg. a binder hardened with a hardener. The novel features are that the coats are hardened with a hardener which is a sulpho- or beta-sulpho-ethyl-pyridinecarbonamide betaine (I); the blue-sensitive coat contains a yellow coupler, which is an alpha-t-pentanoyl-acetanilide (II) with a releasable cyclic gp. in the alpha-position; and the blue-sensitive coat and/or an adjacent binder coat which is not highly sensitive contains a white coupler, which is a 1-phenylpyrazol-5-one (III). In the formulae, R1 and R2 independently = 1-8 C alkyl or an aryl or aralkyl gp.; opt. substd. by 1-2 C alkyl or halogen, or R1 + R2 + N = a heterocycle, opt. substd. by 1-2 C alkyl or halogen; R3 = H or 1-2 C alkyl; n = 0 or 2 in (I); X = a cyclic gp. attached through O, S or N, which can be released by colour coupling; Y = Cl or alkoxy; Z = -NH-CO-, -NH-SO2-, -COO- or -SO2-NH-CO-; R4 = (substd.) alkyl; R5 = alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, amino or acylamino; R6 = alkyl; S = halogen, -CN, -CF3, acylamino, sulphamoyl, alkylsulphonyl or -SO3H; n = 0-3, in (III).
