ULTRASONIC TESTING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To enable selecting of operation of an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver either by a linear scanning or a radial scanning by connecting either a linear operation unit or a radial operation unit to a mount unit. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe 1 is mounted removably on a linear operation unit 30. which then, is mounted to a mount unit 10 removably. A connecting section 6 provided at a base end of an inserting member 2 of the ultrasonic probe 1 is fitted into a rotary cylinder 41, which then is fitted into an electrode 16b at a rotary section 16 of a rotary type connector 15 and a connection pin 46 of a wiring 42 is connected to an electrode 16a. A radial operation unit 50 has a rotary cylinder 52 supported rotatably on bearings 51 and 51 as signal transmission means and the connecting section 6 of the ultrasonic probe 1 is fitted on the side where a connection 55 of a rotary cylinder 52 is provided. Thus, a linear scanning or a radial scanning is possible by mounting the linear operation unit 30 or the radial operation unit 50 to the mount unit 10.
