摘要 PURPOSE:To allow the easy measurement and analysis of a muscular activity condition by detecting and amplifying a muscular current when this instrument is brought into contact with a living body to be inspected, and measuring the time when the envelope waveform of the output waveform is formed and the level of the waveform exceeds a reference level. CONSTITUTION:The muscular current having the amplitude nearly proportional to the force to chew well flows to the mastication muscle when a man chews an object. This current is detected and amplified by contact electrodes 1, 2 and the output of an amplifier 4 is supplied to an envelope former 6, by which an envelope signal is obtd. This signal is supplied to the 1st input of a comparator 8. A reference level signal is inputted from a reference level setter 10 to the 2nd input. The rectangular wave of the output of the comparator 8 indicates whether the man chews the object or well chew the teeth with the force above the set level during this period. The number of the clock pulses from a clock oscillator 14 is increased and the number of light emitting elements to be lighted is increased with an increase in the chewing power, by which the force to chew by the person to be inspected is easily checked with visual sensation. The length of training time is measured by counting the output pulses with a timer 16.
