PURPOSE:To provide the title lubricant for preventing seizure to a rolling mill and improving the surface properties of rolled products by dispersing specific inorganic particulates in a viscous aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:The title lubricant is prepared by dispersing 1-30wt.% of one or more inorganic particulates selected from MOS2, BN, PbO, PbS, CaF2, alumina, titania, graphite, iron oxides, NiO, Cr2O3 and inorganic silicates, wherein 90wt.% or more of the particulates have particle sizes of 10mum or less, in a viscous aqueous solution which is adjusted in viscosity to 1X10<3>-5X10<5>cP by adding a water-soluble high--molecular thickener. |
