PURPOSE:To shorten curing time and to make internal structure uniform by achieving the primary curing of the artificial marble containing unsaturated polyester as a main component by using microwave. CONSTITUTION:After aluminum hydroxide or calcium carbonate, etc., have been compounded with the unsaturated polyester as a main component, said compounded raw material is injected into a resin mold, and after mold closing and pressing, the shielding door 16 provided on the front wall 11 of a cure- treating chamber A is opened. The resin mold B is transferred into the cure- treating chamber A through a mold-introducing conveyer 13 and a mold-taking out conveyer 10. Next, after the shielding door 16 has been closed, a microwave- generating device C is operated, and the microwave is applied to the compounded raw material through a wave-guiding main pipe 21 and a wave- guiding pipe 22, whereby the frictional movement among molecules is generated, and said material is cured under heating. The preferable frequency zone of the microwave is 300MHz-3GHz. |
