PURPOSE:To obtain a long-life photoreceptor of high dark place charge potential, fast potential attenuation by exposure and good flexibility by containing a specific azo pigment as a charge generating material in a charge generating layer, and containing a specific hydrazone compound in a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer 2 in which the 4',4''-bis[2-hydroxy-3- (2,4-dimethyl phenyl carbamoyl)1-naphthyl azo]-1,4-distyryl benzene (hereinafter abbreviated as azo pigment 3) expressed by the formula I is dispersed as a charge generating material in a binder such as polyvinyl butyral resin is formed on a conductive substrate 1. Next, a charge transfer layer 4 contg. the hydrazone compound expressed by the formula II (R is H, alkoxy, dialkylamino) as a charge transfer material is formed on the layer 2. Since the azo pigment 3 has photosensitivity which is flat to a visible light region, the photoreceptor of high sensitivity, good dispersibility in the resin and superior chargeability is obtained. |
