PURPOSE:To enable easy steaming of film-packaged food in a short time without using steamer or steaming box by putting a food into a film bag having a number of vent holes, floating the obtained film-packaged food on hot water in a vessel and boiling for a prescribed period in air-tight state. CONSTITUTION:The film-packaged food 10 to be steamed by the present process is produced e.g. by putting a food 11 such as meat-stuffed bun into a film bag 12 made of PE, etc., and having a number of vent holes 14 of 0.2-1mm diameter. The packaged food 10 is floated on hot water in a vessel and boiled for a prescribed period in an essentially air-tight state to easily achieve the steaming of the film-packaged food 10. |
