The drive has a winding plate (1,2) for each tape reel driven via a pivot wheel (4) attached to a pivot lever (5), with a pivot pin. The shaft (13) of the drive cog (3) cooperates with the pivot wheel (4), so that the lever (5) is displaced in one or other direction in dependence on the direction of rotation of the drive cog (3). The pivot movement is transferred to the lever (5) via a ball (12) which is resiliently clamped between the cog shaft (13) and the pivot lever (5) so that it can only rotate in one direction.
