PURPOSE:To obtain the subject promoter capable of not only efficient growth of epithelial cells in a serum-free medium but also effective utilization as a component of an ointment for external use, eye drops, etc., by using a soluble component in an animal hair as the active component. CONSTITUTION:An objective promoter containing a soluble component (preferably peptide having 1000-2000000 molecular weight) in an animal hair (preferably wool) as the active component and preferably containing an auxiliary component for growth promotion. In addition, suitable cells are preferably epithelial cells. |
