The refrigerator has a compressor (1), a condensor (2), and at least two evaporators (5), and the regulator contains controllable injection valves (4) on the input side of the evaporators (5), and a regulator (7) for the overheating temp. of the evaporators. With the regulator, the overheating temp. theoretical value of the evaporators is automatically adjustable dependent upon a physical dim. of the refrigerator. Each evaporator is arranged in its own air current to the chamber to be cooled (14). In each air flow downstream of the evaporator is fitted an air temp. probe (11), the measurement signal from which is fed to the regulator. By means of the regulator, the overheating temp. theoretical values of the evaporators is so adjustable dependent upon the measurement signals from the probe, that the cooling power of all evaporators remains the same.
