: HERBICIDAL 1-ARYL-.DELTA.2-1,2,4-TRIAZOLIN-5-ONES Novel aryltriazolinone compounds of the formula wherein R is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxyalkyl, or alkyl-S(O)n-alkyl wherein n is 0 to 2 are disclosed as having herbicidal utility against a variety of grassy and broadleaf weeds in both preemergence and postemergence applications and are exemplified by the species wherein R is 2-propynyl, 1-methylethyl, 1-methyl-2-pro-pynyl, methoxymethyl, 2-propenyl, and 1-methyl-2-methoxyethyl. |
