The hearing aid has a battery holder (8) at the bottom end of the housing of the hearing aid and pivoted between at least two different positions. The housing has two united half shells (2,3), one of which provides a pivot hinge (10) for the battery holder (8), the different pivot positions defined by respective stops (11,12). The pivot hinge (10) extends parallel to the separation plane of the two half shells (2,3). The pivot hinge has a pair of pivot pins supported by the respective side faces (2',2'')of one housing half shell. A rounded edge (11) of the battery holder (8) fits between the hinge (10) and the adjacent face of the housing half shell which has a cooperating projecting edge (12).
