<p>A thermoplastic molding composition comprising a polycarbonate resin and a benzotriazole ortho carbonate having an improved level of resistance to deterioration caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation is disclosed. The ultraviolet stabilizer of the invention conforms to <CHEM> wherein R1 denotes a hydrogen or a halogen atom or a C1-4 alkyl or alkoxy group, R2 and R3 independently represent a hydrogen atom ,a C1-12 alkyl, a C1-4 alkoxy group, a phenyl or a phenoxy radical, and R4 denotes a C1-12 alkylene or a C6-30 arylene group. The composition is suitable for the preparation of molded articles having an improved level of resistance to ultraviolet radiation.</p> |
