<p>PURPOSE:To prevent generation of more downshift than necessary during running on an ascending road by providing a kickdown inhibiting means which controls a speed change in accordance with a speed change pattern, not having a kickdown speed change region, in the case of a changing speed of throttle opening smaller than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A changing speed of throttle opening is compared with a previously set predetermined value in a comparing means, and in the case of the changing speed of the throttle opening larger than the predetermined value, a speed change is controlled by a kickdown permitting means in accordance with a speed change pattern having a kickdown speed change region. In the case of the speed change of the throttle opening smaller than the predetermined value, the speed change is controlled by a kickdown inhibiting means in accordance with a speed change pattern not having the kickdown speed change region. In this way, in the case that an accelerator pedal is slowly stepped in on an ascending road, running can be performed in a speed change shift left as it is without providing a shiftdown.</p> |
