PURPOSE:To make an image forming device in a thinner form so that the device can be placed in an existing desk, by separating an ink jet printer part from a main part. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet unit 14 contained in a second casing 53 has an insertion port 12 opened to a predetermined position when a restraining member 54 is fitted into the casing 53. When a paper is set in a paper guide member, the paper is introduced through the insertion port 12 into the unit 14 by a paper- feeding means. The ink jet unit 14 is connected through a connector to a scanner or personal computer which is placed on a desk or the like. The paper introduced into the unit 14 is subjected to printing based on printing data sent from the scanner or personal computer. |
