PURPOSE:To improve magnetization by heating and AC-demagnetizing a rare earth metal bond magnet. CONSTITUTION:AC demagnetization of a rare earth metal bond magnet composed of permanent magnet alloy powder and resin binder is performed at a temperature higher than or equal to 140 deg.C and lower than or equal to 200 deg.C. The alloy powder has a CaCu5 type crystal structure, and the main component is Co and Sm or Sm and Pr. Multi magnetic domains structure can not sufficiently realized at a heating temperature lower than 140 deg.C. The mechanical strength of the rare earth metal bond magnet decreases when the heating temperature exceeds 200 deg.C. When magnetization is performed after AC-demagnetization in the manner like this. magnetization of the rare earth metal bond magnet is further improved. Also in the case of application to a radially anisotropic magnet whose magnetization pitch is small, magnetization is easly enabled. |
