The balustrade according to the invention includes modules formed by several balusters rigidly fastened between two beams, an upper beam (3) and a lower beam (3'). The upper beam (3) is topped by an indented (fluted) section (7) forming the balustrade handrail (coping), essentially characterised by the fact that the balusters (1) are independent elements and can be rendered independent with respect to the upper and lower beams (3, 3'), the latter making use, for this purpose, on their assembly faces, of a series of positioning recesses (notches) (4) which are intended for housing the respective end of each baluster (1), these ends being cut on the bevel so as to allow installation of the balustrade on an inclined plane. <IMAGE>
