<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a safe running ambiance by detecting the visual function of a driver as well as the driving ambiance, and controlling the light distribution of the headlight of his own car depending on the detecting signals. CONSTITUTION:A driving ambiance detecting means 6 detects a car running in the opposite direction. A visual sensation function detecting means 7 detects the condition a driver regulates the lighting of an instrument panel, and detects the visual function of the driver by the brightness necessary to recognize visually the data of the instruments and the like set on the instrument panel. An operation circuit 8 decides and calculates how to control the light distribution of an auxiliary headlight 10 to optimize the light distribution condition of a headlight depending on the signals from the visual sensation function detecting means 7 and the opposite car detecting sensor 6. And a control circuit 9 controls to convert the light distribution of the auxiliary headlight 10 depending on the output signal from the operation circuit 8. Consequently, the headlight can illuminate the front side in an adequate and efficient light distribution, and a safe running ambiance can be obtained.</p> |
