Proposed is a training device designed to accelerate the stride of a walking person, in which the knee joints are locked in position and which does not use artificial joints. The device has rod mechanisms (6) which grip each calf by means of attachment elements (1) and are linked to each other by cords, springs or levers (7) in such a way that an elastic-coupling force, acting below the plane of the knees and approximately in the direction of motion, accelerates the rear leg upwards and forwards, or simply forwards, and then retards the leg as it swings upwards and forwards or simply forwards. |
