The deformable high water-absorbable resin is prepd. by: dispersing a dispersing agent of 8-12 HLB in cyclohexane; adding acrylic acid alkali metalic salts of 50-100 mol % of neutralization degree, and water soluble radical polymerizing initiator in the reactor at 70-80 deg.C; making phase transition by heating the reactor, step by step, to 60-67 deg.C, 70 deg.C, 75 deg.C; reverse-suspension polymerising and azeotropic distillating to make 15-55 wt.% of water contents thereof; filtering cyclohexane to obtain the polymer; adding the polymer in mixt. of 0.005-15 wt.% (wrt. the polymer) of crosslinking agent contg. 3 or more epoxy gp., then reacting at 70-85 deg.C for 1-2 hr. to crosslinking the surface of particles; then washing, filtering, and drying at 90-175 deg.C.
