PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of an average copying speed by a method wherein processed paper of the predetermined number of sheets remains in a first processor as long as succeeding processed paper does not collide with preceding processed paper from behind, and intervals in transferring the processed paper are adjusted when the paper is fed. CONSTITUTION:A first discharge roller 1 is connected to a pulse motor 8 to be driven by the pulse motor 8. A paper transfer detection sensor 9 disposed on the upstream side of the first discharge roller 1 issues a detection signal when copied paper reaches the sensor 9. Namely, the sensor 9 issues a detection signal R1 when detecting the leading end of the copied paper, and issues a detection signal R2 when detecting the trailing end of the copied paper. These detection signals R1, R2 are transmitted to an input interface 10. A RAM 11 issues a predetermined output in accordance with the detection signals R1, R2 through an output interface 12. The drive of the pulse motor 8 is controlled by the output from the output interface 12. In this manner, the reduction of an average copying speed is prevented in a copying machine.
