<p>PURPOSE:To obtain imides excellent in heat and chemical resistance under mild conditions in a short time without any coloring of a reaction solution by reacting an amic acid with a trialkylsilylating agent. CONSTITUTION:A compound having an amic acid structure is reacted with a trialkylsilylating agent in or without a solvent such as N,N-dimethylacetamide at 0-200 deg.C to provide polyimides, bisimides, monoimides or dimides. 1,3-Bis(chloromethyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisilazane, etc., are cited as the trialkylsilylating agent and used in a molar amount of 0.01-1000 times based on the amic acid compound.</p> |
