The apparatus measures a magnetic flux variation by use of a hole sensor, and detects the stationary position of the elevator vehicle when the the magnetic flux variation is infinitesimal. The apparatus comprises a magnetic body (10) fixed at an elevating passageway, a right guide plate (11) hving a protrusion (13) in the center, a left guide plate (12) linearly formed in parallel with the right guide plate (11), upper/lower sloped faces (11a,11b) formed on the plate (11), a mobile body (14) fixed at the upper part of the elevator vehicle, a magnet (15) attached to one side (14a) of the mobile body (14), and the hole sensor (16), built-in in the center of the body (14), for detecting the magnetic flux of the magnet (15).
