PURPOSE:To contrive energy and labor saving to be achieved, while the heating process in forming is made unnecessary by a method in which skin material is attached to the prescribed surface by the negative pressure produced by reducing the pressure in the space defined by the prescribed surface of a mold cavity and the skin material, and raw liquid is injected and foamed on the opposite side to the side facing the prescribed surface of the skin material. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral edge of the skin material 6 made of flexible synthetic resin which becomes the surface layer of a door, is fixed to the peripheral edge of a female mold 1b by a clamp, etc., and the mold is closed. Grain pattern is preferably applied onto the skin material 6 preliminarily. When the space defined by the female mold 1b and the skin material 6 is kept because of a negative pressure by sucking the air from a sucking port 5, the skin material 6 is brought into close contact with the inner surface of the cavity of the female mold 1b. In this state, the raw liquid 7a of rigid polyurethane foam 7 in liquid state is injected into the mold cavity 3 from the injection port 4 in a male mold 1a so as to obtain the rigid foam with the average specific gravity of 0.03-0.06g/cm<3>. The skin material 7 is softened by the heat radiation-effect accompanying the foaming of the raw liquid 7a, and is integrally formed surely by the adhesive force of the rigid polyurethane foam itself. |
