The funnel assembly, for a funnel spinner, has a gap between the connecting channel and the end section of the funnel at the entry side, where it passes to the funnel mantle. The section of the mantle towards the entry side has a larger outer dia. than the point where the opening of the connecting channel is located. The connecting channel joins the entry channel at an angle of more than 90 deg., and pref. 120 deg. The funnel mantle section at the channel opening expands conically towards the entry side, or it can increase its size in a step. The opening of the connecting channel lies in a recess in the funnel mantle.
