<p>PURPOSE:To easily differentiate scanning densities of recording/reproducing head on a tape at the times of recording and reproducing by mechanically coupling a drum to a capstan to be driven by one drive source, and switching the rotating speed ratio of the capstan to the head by switching means. CONSTITUTION:A drum 1 having a recording/reproducing head is mechanically coupled to a capstan 8 for holding a tape 3 to a pinch roller 6 to convey the tape 3 to be driven by one drive source. The tape 3 to be fed between the two reels 4 and 5 in the cassette 6 is obliquely slidably brought into contact with the cylindrical drum 1 having a recording/reproducing head to be recorded or reproduced. The rotating speed ratio of the capstan to the drum 1 is switched by switching means at the times of recording and reproducing. Thus, scanning densities of the recording/reproducing head on a magnetic tape are differentiated without using a complicated and expensive controller without using a plurality of motors at the times of recording and reproducing.</p> |
