<p>Catalyst is made by depositing on macroporous support (e.g. alumina) 2-20% of a mixture of AgO, AgCO3 and carbonates of divalent metals in which 1-50% is AgO. Mixture made by (a) precipitation of carbonates from solution of nitrates with (sic) carbonate and hydroxide of Ca, and, optionally separately, (b) pptn. of AgO with KOH soln. Pref. conditions 10-30 degrees C. and final pH and 10-14; esp. 18-20 degrees C. and pH 10-12. Active, selective catalyst produced.</p> |
