PURPOSE:To know the state of a device even if a user leaves the device during its operation by using a telephone for the notice of the device state of a copying machine, etc. CONSTITUTION:An operational part 1 serves as the part where the user inputs a command on operation of the device, and carries out the registration of a telephone number, the selection of a state notifying mode, etc., with respect to a state notifying part 4. A device main processing part 2 serves as the part for carrying out the processing as the aim of the device. A device state detecting part 3 recognizes the operation state of the device (command waiting, in- processing, the occurrence of an error, the completion of processing, etc.), and informs it to the state notifying part 4. The state notifying part 4 informs the state of the device to the user via a display panel, a buzzer, or a telephone circuit, in response to the command received via the operational part 1. When the telephone line is used, the telephone number is registered 9, in advance, so that the user is automatically phoned, to inform the processing state of the completion, the error, etc. |
