NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is carbamoyl or nitrogen-containing 5-membered heterocyclic ring group; R2 is aromatic group; R3 and R4 are alkyl; R5 is alkyl, alkoxy or acylamino; n is 0-2). USE:Yellow dye used as a dye for photograph, dye for ink jet, dye for printing, dye for filter, etc., and having high molar absorption coefficient and sharp absorption characteristics. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with an oxidizing agent (e.g. ammonium persulfate) and then subjected to coupling reaction with a compound expressed by formula III and immediately subjected to ring- closing reaction to provide the compound expressed by formula I. The above-- mentioned reaction is carried out in the presence of a base (e.g. sodium carbonate) in a solvent such as N,N-dimethylformamide. |
