PURPOSE:To obtain a toner image high in density without impairing fixability and fogging by using a binder resin having specified functional groups in a specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic charge image developing toner containing at least a colorant and the binder resin containing a vinyl copolymer having acid unhydride groups and a total acid value (A) of 2 - 100mgKOH/g and an acid value (B) due to the acid unhydride of <=6mgKOH/g and B/AX100=60%. The toner is a magnetic toner containing >=12 number % particles of <=5mmu particle diameter, <=33 number % particles of 8 - 12.7mmu particle diameter, and <=2 volume % particles of >=16mmu particle diameter, thus permitting a high-density toner image to be obtained without occurrence of fog and a good toner image to be obtained even under low temperature and high humidity without being affected by environmental fluctuation. |
