ANAEROBIC WASTE WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To perform the high load operation of raw water containing an SS component in high concn. by mounting a reaction tank having a porous bed having acid producing bacteria supported thereon at the lower part thereof and capable of forming a methane producing bacteria-containing sludge part on the porous bed. CONSTITUTION:Raw water to be treated is supplied to a porous bed 2 having acid producing bacteria supported thereon at first through a raw water supply pipe 5 and the org. component in the raw water is brought into contact with the acid producing bacteria of the porous bed 2 to be anaerobically decomposed. The raw water passed through the porous bed 2 is continuously supplied to the sludge part 3 formed on the porous bed 2, as an ascending stream. Since the porous bed 2 has a porous structure, the passed raw water is uniformly dispersed to be capable of being supplied to the sludge part 3. The raw water is brought into contact with methane producing bacteria in the sludge part 3 to be anaerobically decomposed to finally become methane and carbon dioxide. SS in the raw water is collected by the porous structure of the porous bed 2 and the collected SS is converted to low molecular substances and solubilized by acid producing bacteria in the porous bed to be supplied to the sludge part 3.
