PURPOSE:To ensure that gas is refined efficiently by introducing unrefined gas containing O2 gas as an impurity to a catalyst heated at high temperature to remove the O2 gas, and supplying H2 gas to the catalyst heated at high temperature for catalyst regeneration. CONSTITUTION:O2 gas is removed from unrefined gas containing O2 gas as an impurity by introducing the gas to catalysts 31, 32 heated at high temperature. To regenerate the catalyst, H2 gas is supplied to the catalyst heated at high temperature. Subsequently, each time for heating and cooling of the catalyst is no longer required and, therefore, both refining and regeneration processes can be performed efficiently using the catalyst. In addition, the ability of absorbing the impurity of the catalyst can be enhanced by heating at high temperature, and subsequently, a large flow rate of unrefined gas can be refined using a small amount of catalyst. Thus, the device can be made compact significantly. |
