<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the freezing period of a liquid in a pipe and improve the work efficiency by providing a jacket at the upstream portion of a position to be repaired, spirally winding strips made of a heat conducting material on the surface of the pipe in the jacket, injecting the liquefied gas-in the jacket, and freezing the liquid in the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical jacket J has two semi-cylindrical casings 1 face to face, both of them are openably connected via hinges 2, and a through hole 3 to be inserted with a pipe P is provided. The jacket J is coupled and sealed at least at the upstream portion of the repair position of the pipe P, the liquefied gas G is injected into the jacket J from an opened liquefied gas injection hole 4 to freeze the liquid in the pipe P inside the jacket J, and the repair position located on the downstream side is repaired during freezing. Fine strips S made of a heat conducting material are wound spirally and tightly on the surface of the pipe P on the slightly upstream side of the repair position of the pipe P to increase the heat exchange area with the liquefied gas G. The heat exchange is quickly performed, the water in the pipe P is quickly frozen, and the repairing period on the site can be shortened.</p> |
