PURPOSE:To obtain tomato jam as a natural food having sufficient jelly-like shape by subjecting tomato to powdering treatment using a mixer, adding sugar and starch thereto, boiling the mixture down and subjecting the resultant jelly like food to sterilizing treatment by boiling in a state sealed in a vessel. CONSTITUTION:Tomato is subjected to powdering treatment with a mixer and boiled at >=90 deg.C for 30min. Then, sugar is added thereto and the mixture is boiled for 20min, and then starch is added thereto and the mixture is boiled for 20min. The resultant jelly-like food is subjected to sterilizing treatment by boiling in a state sealed in a vessel to provide the objective jam. |
