PURPOSE:To enable a work to be taken out of a magazine without catching in a groove by a method wherein a mounting plate mounted with works is made to move in the direction of a groove until the work bears against the groove and then to recede in an opposite direction by a certain distance. CONSTITUTION:A transfer device 9 is made to recede toward a magazine 1 prepared at a prescribed position by a rodless cylinder 14, and a suction plate 12 is made to proceed into the magazine 1. The transfer device 9 is made to ascend by an up-down cylinder 17 and releasably supports a glass plate 2A located lowest in the magazine 1. Then, the suction plate 12 is made to swing to a certain extent by a drive motor 20. At this point, provided that L denotes the width of the upper glass plate 2A and the distance between grooves 3 and 4 is represented by L+alpha, the upper glass plate 2A is made to move toward the groove 3 on the right by a distance of alpha so as to bear against the groove 3 by swinging the suction plate 12 and then to recede very little by a distance of alpha/2 in an opposite direction. By this setup, the upper glass plate 2A can be kept so as not to make its sides come into contact with the grooves 3 and 4, so that powder or dust is prevented from attaching to the surface of the upper glass plate 2A when the upper glass plate 2A is taken out from the magazine as sucked by the suction plate 12. |
