The process comprises dehydration, grinding and extn. of copper-potassium chlorophyllin, for concn. and saponification with KOH. Washing with extn. spirit, and treatment with copper in acid medium, gives cupric chlorophyllin which, after treatment with ethyl acetate and washing with water, is hot solubilised in KOH solution. This yields copper-potassium chlorophyllin and concn. of the soln. permits total recuperation of the ethyl acetate. |
